Are you licensed?

Kanabé Goods Co. is a subsidiary of EFX Laboratories Inc. who is an Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR) applicant but currently contract manufactures capsules for Broken Coast Cannabis Ltd. who is a federally licensed, independent producer of medical cannabis. Registering with and purchasing from Broken Coast Cannabis Ltd. ensures you are obtaining your medical cannabis in full accordance with federal regulations. You can confirm their license status, and that of any other legal provider of cannabis, on Health Canada's website.

How do I get a medical document to purchase legal cannabis?

The ACMPR regulations require that a licensed producer receive the proper paperwork before any medical cannabis can be purchased. In order to buy medical cannabis you must complete the following steps:

  1. Sign up for an account with Broken Coast Cannabis Ltd. using their signup form.

  2. Fill out either application form A or B from the Broken Coast How to Apply page, and have your medical practitioner fill out the Medical Document

  3. Mail the original, signed forms to:

Broken Coast Cannabis
Box 1150, 610 First Ave.
Ladysmith, BC, V9G 1AB

*Please send via Canada Post. Couriers such as Fed-Ex and UPS cannot deliver to PO boxes

As soon as Broken Coast receives and verifies your paperwork they will send you an email informing you that your account has been activated. At this point you will be able to purchase products.

I already have my medical document, how do I purchase?

Kanabé products are not currently available and awaiting licensing and Health Canada approvals. However, our parent company, EFX Laboratories Inc. will have cannabis capsules for sale through Broken Coast Cannabis Ltd. You must be a medical cannabis patient of Broken Coast Cannabis Ltd. to order.

Will my benefits plan cover cannabis?

Medical insurance plans typically do not cover medical cannabis in Canada. In certain cases it can be claimed with Veterans Affairs or as a health deduction from personal income tax. Speak to your doctor or insurance provider for more details.

Please only use cannabis as in accordance with your physician’s recommendation. Using cannabis or any cannabis product can impair your concentration, your ability to think and make decisions and your reaction time and coordination. This can affect your motor skills, including your ability to drive. It can also increase anxiety and cause panic attacks and, in some cases, cause paranoia. As a result, it is critical to always follow these important practices:

  • Keep cannabis out of reach of children.

  • Do not drive or operate machinery.

  • Do not mix with alcohol or other medication unless directed by your doctor.

  • Do not use medicinal cannabis if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

It is critical to use cannabis, like any medicinal product, responsibly, and above all, talk to your physician. This is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute any representation as to the safety, efficacy, suitability, effectiveness or other features of medical cannabis or any other product in the management of any medical condition or for any purpose and is not intended to provide, or to be a substitute for, professional medical advice. ALWAYS SEEK THE ADVICE OF A PHYSICIAN OR OTHER QUALIFIED HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONER FOR ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE ABOUT ANY ILLNESS OR OTHER CONDITION, INCLUDING THE SUITABILITY OR EFFECTIVENESS OF ANY PARTICULAR COURSE OF TREATMENT.
